Find your perfect ring size
Measure your ring size at home in three simple steps, convert across international standards, and order with confidence — backed by Fortevia Jewels complimentary resizing and lifetime craftsmanship.
Your perfect fit starts here
A ring is not just an accessory — it's a statement of style, commitment, and personality. Wearing a ring that fits perfectly ensures maximum comfort while highlighting your finger gracefully. Too tight, and it can pinch or leave marks. Too loose, and it may slip off and get lost. A perfect fit balances comfort, style, and security.
Understanding your ring size is especially important when shopping online, where you can't try the piece on first. This guide will teach you how to measure your finger at home, interpret international sizing charts, and apply professional tips so your jewelry feels as perfect as it looks.
WHY FIT MATTERS
A ring that lives
with you, every day
The right size feels like nothing at all - comfortable in summer, secure in winter, and graceful through every gesture. The wrong size becomes a quiet distraction.
Fortevia's heirloom-grade rings are crafted to a precise inside diameter, so when you measure carefully and consult our chart, the ring you receive will feel as if it was always meant for your hand.

Measure your finger at home
Swipe through each step — a guided walkthrough from preparing your tools to converting your measurement.
Prepare your tools
Use a thin strip of paper, a piece of string, or a flexible measuring tape. Make sure the material is not elastic or stretchable, as that can give an inaccurate measurement. You'll also need a pen or pencil to mark where the ends meet.
Wrap around your finger
Wrap the paper, string, or tape snugly around the base of your finger where the ring will sit. Make sure it's tight enough to stay in place but not so tight that it pinches the skin. Mark the point where the end overlaps to form a complete circle.
Measure and convert
Lay the paper or string flat and measure the length in millimeters with a ruler. This is the circumference of your finger. Match your measurement with our ring size chart to find the closest size — for example, a 52 mm circumference typically corresponds to a US size 6 or an EU size 52.
Pro tips for accurate measurement
- End-of-day measurement
Your fingers naturally swell throughout the day. Measuring in the evening ensures your ring will not feel too tight.
- Temperature matters
Cold fingers are smaller, warm fingers are larger. Measure at room temperature for the most accurate results.
- Double-check
Measure more than once to confirm your size. Accuracy is the difference between everyday comfort and constant adjusting.
- Ring width consideration
Wider bands feel tighter on the finger, so select a quarter to half size larger when buying a wide band.
- Knuckle size
If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose an intermediate size for comfort.
GOOD TO KNOW
Special cases & considerations
- Resizing
Most rings can be resized, but rings with intricate designs, eternity settings, or pavé stones may have limited resizing options.
- Material differences
Some metals feel slightly tighter due to weight or design. Platinum, gold, and silver each carry a different feel — always confirm comfort before final purchase.
- Stacked rings
Planning to wear multiple rings on the same finger? Consider sizing slightly larger so each band glides on without crowding.
- Finger shape
Fingers are not perfectly cylindrical. Choose a size that comfortably fits the widest part of your finger.
Are There Any Types of Rings That Can't Be Resized?
Yes. Certain ring styles, including eternity bands, open designs, and pieces made with alternative metals, cannot be resized beyond the 60-day complimentary period due to the nature of their construction and materials. If you’re unsure whether a specific ring can be resized, our team is always available to guide you before or after your purchase. You may also choose to exchange a non-resizable ring within our 30-day free exchange window.
Fortevia Jewels Free 30-Day Exchanges & 60-Day Resizes
Our promise to you continues even after your order arrives, and we provide a 30-day exchange period along with a 60-day resizing window to help you achieve the right fit. Most styles (including eternity, open, or alternative metal designs) can be exchanged for a different size within 30 days, while any design that allows resizing can be adjusted within 60 days. To learn more about these policies, please read our exchange and resizing policy page.
